NRA BASICS OF PERSONAL PROTECTION INSIDE THE HOME
Short Description : To develop in students the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a firearm for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding citizen's right to self-defense.
Pre-Requisities:
1) Must have passed the NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course
OR
2) Must have passed the PPITH Pre-Course Evaluation
More Details: This course is a MINIMUM EIGHT (8) HOURS long and is conducted by an NRA Instructor in a classroom.

Students will be provided with the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection in The Home
The topics to be covered are:
1) Introduction to Defensive Shooting
2) Basic Defensive Pistol Skills
3) Firearms and the Law: Possession, Ownership, and the Use of Deadly Force
4) Strategies for Home Safety and Responding to a Violent Confrontation
5) Selecting a Pistol for Self-Defense
6) Sport Shooting Activities and Training Opportunities
Bring your pistol (revolver and/or semi-automatic) and a minimum of 200 rounds of factory new ammunition in the original factory box and do NOT load any firearms or magazines. A semi-automatic is preferred.
Bring appropriate eye and ear protection.
Wear a shirt that buttons up to your throat, shoes covering your entire foot, and a hat with a bill.
